Local Projects designed this immersive, interpretive experience for one of the UK’s most significant archaeological sites: a temple dedicated to the Roman god Mithras. The free museum is part of Bloomberg’s Norman Foster-designed European headquarters.
Visitors enter the timed experience, which uses haze, light projections and baffles to create the illusion of the temple walls and columns rising from the ruins. In the preceding space, a series of interactive screens and projected environments, introduce visitors to the site and key information about the cult.
