A personal, wearable, live street view
An initial prototype of a personal, wearable, live street view. A circle of cameras stream live images to a streetview instance.
The browser requests a ‘live’ image each time it needs a new tile from the corresponding camera. So in the first sample you will see Tanner sitting at his desk, but by the time I have browsed 360 degrees he has left. Later, as Jeremy walks by the camera, this relationship between time and space is clearer: panning to follow Jeremy ‘captures’ him in each frame as he walks around the camera.
This project is part of the body of work and research that constitute my MFA thesis, Declarations of Interdependence.
